Purdy, 95th
Rosemary Purdy will be celebrating her 95th birthday on May 14 at home with family.
She was born Rosemary Tomasek in 1929 in Racine.
Rosemary married Francis Purdy on July 23, 1949, in Racine. He passed away on Aug. 21, 2012.
Before her marriage, Rosemary worked for a local doctor and at Zahn’s department store. She later worked at Walker Manufacturing.
Her hobbies include gardening, cooking and doing volunteer work at St. John Nepomuk Church, where she is a member.
Rosemary has 10 children: Denise Sokolowski, Marlene Stindle, Dave Purdy, Bob Purdy, John Purdy, Patty Buchholz, Nancy Zanotti, Rich Purdy, Sandy Beier and Sharon Zagar.
She also has 24 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
