Davita Brown, who works for the City of Racine but spent Tuesday assisting with the election, and Donna Nielsen, a longtime poll worker, checked in voters at Cesar Chavez Community Center. Nielsen said she became a poll worker because she has never been called for jury duty and wanted to do her civic duty. "I'd still like to serve on a jury -- just once," she said.
