RACINE — Cincere Davis, one of three teenagers accused in connection to the Aug. 8 shooting death of 49-year-old Willie May in Racine, pleaded not guilty Wednesday.
Cincere Davis, who was 16 at the time of the shooting and is now 17, is facing one count of first-degree intentional homicide; two counts of attempted first-degree intentional homicide; and one count of carjacking while possessing a weapon.
Each count reflects that Cincere Davis alledegedly used a dangerous weapon and acted as party to a crime.
Cincere Davis was charged alongside Alexjandro Medina, who is 15, and Latrell Davis, who was 17 but is now 18.
Latrell Davis faces identical charges. According to online records, the charges against Medina were dismissed without prejudice Oct. 7.
Latrell Davis has yet to enter a plea and is scheduled to appear for a status conference Jan. 16.

Case background
According to Journal Times reporting from October, the U.S. Marshals arrested Latrell Davis at a Kenosha residence Oct. 2. Cincere Davis and Medina were taken into custody in August.
The shooting reportedly happened about 10:15 p.m. Aug. 8 in the 5500 block of Byrd Avenue.
May suffered injuries to his neck and head and was pronounced dead at the hospital. Another 44-year-old man suffered wounds to his left hand.
The 44-year-old man reportedly told police that a silver sedan pulled up to the curb while he and three others were sitting on a front porch. Shots reportedly were fired from the car moments later.
Investigators found a car matching the description in the 1700 block of Holmes Avenue. Surveillance video reportedly shows the car parking about 10:17 p.m. and several people getting out.
Additional video shows three individuals entering a nearby store. The footage was used to identify the suspects.
Police searched Medina’s home Aug. 14, and he denied firing any shots.
When Cincere Davis was arrested, he reportedly was carrying two firearms.
