SCHNEIDER, 60th
Robert and Kaye Schneider will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a surf and turf dinner.
The couple, who both are Racine natives, was married Nov. 2, 1964, at Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Racine.
They met at a park near State and Albert streets, and their first date was going out for a movie and pizza.
The couple says they have been able to stay together by accepting the other unconditionally, having the ability to forgive when needed, and spending time with family and friends.
Their happiest moments include the births of their children and spending weekends with friends at the softball fields or bowling alley.
Their advice for your people getting married today includes to not buy anything you can’t afford, pay your bills on time, be active together and bring home flowers
